CommonDesk has engineered multiple communication capture modules for BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, and other mobile platforms. Depending on the capabilities available from mobile handset manufacturers, two different approaches are available; - Mobile Agent (previously known as PINcushion) - where messages are captured on the device in real-time through our device installed mobile application agent. This device capture client;
- Easily installs “over-the-air” onto any mobile device;
- Automatically registers with the Compliance Engine Server;
- Transparent to the user and consumes less then 64K of available memory on the handheld;
- Captures messages in real-time before users can erase them;
- Supports all message types.
- Server Agent - where e-mail messages are retrieved from server based log files;
- Log files are automatically generated by the BlackBerry or Windows Mobile Servers and provide for easy integration;
- Simplicity, no additional software installation;
- Support for many message types.
