Wireless Message Capture Capability

CommonDesk has engineered multiple communication capture modules for BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, and other mobile platforms.  Depending on the capabilities available from mobile handset manufacturers, two different approaches are available;

  • Mobile Agent (previously known as PINcushion) - where messages are captured on the device in real-time through our device installed mobile application agent. This device capture client;
  • Easily installs “over-the-air” onto any mobile device;
  • Automatically registers with the Compliance Engine Server;
  • Transparent to the user and consumes less then 64K of available memory on the handheld;
  • Captures messages in real-time before users can erase them;
  • Supports all message types.

  • Server Agent - where e-mail messages are retrieved from server based log files;
  • Log files are automatically generated by the BlackBerry or Windows Mobile Servers and provide for easy integration;
  • Simplicity, no additional software installation;
  • Support for many message types.
