CommonDesk Releases Bloomberg Message Capture Product

New York, N.Y. - March 8 2006 - CommonDesk has developed a module, that will download, process, and archive Bloomberg email and IM as a fully supported and managed product offering. This module is available for the Bloomberg terminal - used by many brokerage firms - to provide market data as well as to provide internal email and instant message communication system.

These messages (email and IM) are often difficult to archive because they are not routed through these firm's existing message capture infrastructure. Whereas the brokerage firms have an obligation to fulfill the SEC-17A compliance requirements as needed by NASD, the non-archival of some of these email and IM creates compliance problems, exposing these firms to SEC fines and penalties.

While Bloomberg provides this information in a raw format, they do not provide tools to integrate this information into existing email archiving systems. CommonDesk has developed a module that will download, process, and archive Bloomberg email and IM, as a fully supported and managed product offering.

Bloomberg, headquartered in NY, provides business and financial professionals with the tools and data they need on a single, all-inclusive platform. Bloomberg offers sophisticated trading tool and services as well as trading systems in addition to operating the largest privately owned network in the world.
