About the CommonDesk Product/Solution

The CommonDesk solution adds these components to your existing RIM BlackBerry infrastructure.

These components transparently capture all messages received or sent by your RIM BlackBerry as well as manage, integrate and review those messages:

 

 

 

Manage:

The CommonDesk solution manages thousands of users and devices in a multi-server configuration. As required by SEC compliance laws, CommonDesk also maintains the history of users and devices. It provides Mobile LDAP support that can convert all message (types) origination numbers (or addresses) to the appropriate format to be accepted by the archiving database. All addresses are tracked are appropriately mapped:

It also provides detailed activity logs for system auditing. For example, it tries (using some form KeepAlive messages) to detect the user activity for every two days (for example) if it doesn’t hear from a specified BlackBerry that may be switched off for overseas travel.
